2022 APRA Silver Scroll Award Finalists Named

The five finalists in the running for the 2022 APRA Silver Scroll Award | Kaitito Kaiaka have been named, with the short list of artists involved including some familiar Silver Scroll aspirants alongside inspirational newcomers that include Ōtautahi indie-pop band There’s A Tuesday, Te Tairāwhiti choir Ka Hao (alongside Rob Ruha), and a US talent by the name of Willie Nelson.

2022 APRA Silver Scroll Top 5:

  • Girl At Night written by Natalie Hutton, Minnie Robberds, Joel Becker, Angus Murray – performed by There’s A Tuesday
  • 35 written by Rob Ruha, Kaea Hills, Te Amorutu Broughton, Ainsley Tai, Dan Martin, Whenua Patuwai – performed by Ka Hao and Rob Ruha
  • Beyond the Stars written by Tami Neilson and Delaney Davidson – performed by Tami Neilson and Willie Nelson
  • He Ōrite written by Troy Kingi, Iraia Whakamoe, Ryan Prebble, James Coyle – performed by Troy Kingi and The Nudge
  • My Boy written and performed by Marlon Williams

The five finalists were chosen by APRA members from a previously distilled list of 20 songs. The winner will be announced at a live ceremony at Spark Arena, Tāmaki Makaurau on October 18.
