Applications for the NZ Music Commission‘s Capability Grants Programme are now open.
Part of the government’s NZ Music COVID Recovery Package, this is a new contestable fund to support music industry upskilling, training and development opportunities so that our music practitioners have the tools to succeed in a post-Covid environment.
The minimum grant is $2000 and the maximum is $25,000, for projects underway by June 30, 2021. Grants can be used for upskilling projects, training and development opportunities, and for initiatives that promote and encourage inclusiveness, accessibility, wellbeing and resilience.
The programme is open to contemporary popular focused music sector organisations, industry guilds, groups that represent Māori or Pasifika music practitioners, societies and associations, music businesses and collectives.
The deadline to apply is June 25.
