Applications are open for the 2021 Industry Internship Programme administered by the NZ Music Commission.

The programme seeks to partner interns with NZ music businesses and organisations to develop their skills, knowledge and networks, and help kick-start their careers in the music sector. Host music organisations benefit from the additional resource and low-risk development of potential employees.

The internships will run either part-time over an approximate 16-week period, or full-time over a 10-week period. All interns will be paid the living wage for their internships with the host organisations expected to make a modest contribution towards those wages. 

Internships are expected to be available nationwide, dependent on location of confirmed host organisations. A list of the roles available for next year will be published by NZMC once the host organisations are confirmed. Applications for intern hopefuls open on 14 December 2020, and will close on 20 January 2021.
