Tickets are on sale for Independent Music NZ‘s 2024 Going Global Music Summit and artist showcase, alongside an announcement of the first international speakers for the two-day event.
The summit will take place on August 29 & 30 at Roundhead in Tāmaki Makaurau, with showcase performances on both nights at Whammy/Double Whammy on Karangahape Rd.
The two-day conference is a gateway for any local artist, manager, publicist, A&R, producer, music writer, record label and venue manager to connect with, question and hear ideas from some of the international music industry’s forward-thinking superstars. IMNZ is bringing international booking agents, synch licensors, international media, PR experts, artist managers with international experience and those working for live and digital music platforms to Aotearoa.
Held in tandem with the conference the Going Global Presents Showcase is where a selected line-up of local artists perform short sets in inner city connected venues. All international industry guests plus public are invited to check out some of Aotearoa’s most talented new artists. Previous showcases have included the likes of Aldous Harding, Tami Neilson,Troy Kingi, Alien Weaponry, Tiny Ruins, D.C Maxwell, Vera Ellen, Fazerdaze and many more.
