Anna Hawkins is the highest placed Kiwi in the US-based international indie songwriting competition Unsigned Only 2021, the Tauranga artist placing an impressive first in the category of Best Vocal Performance, for her version of Wayfaring Stranger/Yea Though I Walk.

Honourable mentions from the Unsigned Only judges went to Sam Cullen‘s ‘1000x’ (Adult Album Alternative), Darren Watson‘s Alison Jane (Blues) and Kaylee Bell‘s That Summer (Country).
