APRA AMCOS NZ has announced the participants of SongHubs 2018 – a professional songwriting workshop to be held at Auckland’s Roundhead Studios this month.

Out of 150 applications, producer and curator of the SongHubs programme, Greg Haver (Manic Street Preachers, Catatonia, Pluto), picked the following 16 writers, performers, and producers who will be working with award-winning songwriters, Nashville-based Kate York, Marc Beeson and Heather Morgan:

Additionally, Aucklander Maude Morris was invited to fill a newly created producer internship position.

The international artists will combine with different configurations of local songwriters and producers each day, to write a brand new song. The aim is to see many new songs written and recorded, and new friendships forged by the end of the week.
