Organ Scholarship In Hamilton

Organ Scholarship In Hamilton

St Paul’s Collegiate School in Hamilton is looking for students interested in learning to play the organ.

As part of their scholars’ programme, selected students will receive organ lessons funded by the school, in return for a commitment to play at school and community events.

Only the second school in NZ to offer a scholarship of this kind, the students will be able to use St Paul’s Collegiate School’s Letourneau pipe organ.

It is used to musically accompany chapel services, assemblies and other school events – and it’s not the teachers who do the playing, but the students.

Ten scholarships are on offer – one for each year group, generally piano students who have Grade 5 or above.

Spaces are limited and offered only after an audition and interview.
