The New Zealand Music Foundation has been renamed and is now known as MusicHelps, a name that’s more direct and more impactful, according to the Auckland-based charity.
Among other things, MusicHelps provides emergency assistance to Kiwi music people experiencing hardship and illness through its suite of services, including a professional online, on-the-phone and face-to-face counselling service tailored to those people who make live and recorded music possible.
The Wellbeing Service is a 24/7 online, on the phone at 0508 MUSICHELP (687 424 357) and in-person counselling service fully funded by MusicHelps and provided free of charge to those in the Kiwi music community who can’t access the help they might need due to hardship and other circumstances.
