NZOA July 2017 New Music Single Funding Decisions

NZ On Air Music has announced the results of its July 2017 New Music Single funding round.

The next New Music Single funding round closes on September 8 and you can apply here.

Please note that NZOA has made some changes to the New Music Single funding application and contracting processes.

From now on we no longer require an initial $2,000 up-front deposit. Instead, the mandatory co-investment from the artist/rights holder will be a minimum 20% contribution to each stage of the drawdown process. That means NZ On Air will reimburse up to 80% of eligible costs at each drawdown stage. For a $10,000 overall budget for a New Music Single (which can incorporate recording, music video and promotional elements) this means we would still contribute up to $8,000 with the rights holder contributing $2,000.”

We have also refreshed some of the New Music Single application criteria to ensure they are still relevant. This means that all applicants for the next round of New Music Single funding will need to re-submit their criteria before making their application. (Once re-entered, criteria will be saved for future applications and can be edited at any time.)”
