Applications for the Auckland Council‘s Artist In Residence 2021 are open now.

The residency is for eight weeks, from October to November 2021, and includes free accommodation and workspace within a regional park, a weekly grant for materials, tools, and equipment, and a chance to work in and with nature for eight weeks.

Purpose Of The Residency

• to generate new art about the parks, to share with park visitors and the public
• to share artists insights and experiences and build awareness of park features
• to show parks as places of inspiration and creativity.

For 2021, artists can choose to reside in Duder Regional Park or Āwhitu Regional Park.
