APRA AMCOS NZ has announced the three 2022 Best Country Music Song Award finalists. With the annual Tussock Country Festival (previously Gold Guitars) having been cancelled as a result of Covid restrictions the winner/s will be announced on Radio NZ‘s Music 101 show, June 18.
Marking a more significant change from the recent past, the Recorded Music NZ announcement of finalists for the Best Country Music Artist Tūī award is not this year being made contemporaneously – as that award is now part of the main Aotearoa Music Awards presentation ceremony to be held later in the year. Nominations are expected to open soon.
