Registrations are open for the 2021 USA Songwriting Competition. Now in its 26th year, the international competition sees songwriters and composers vie for the chance to win an extensive range of rewards.

The list of prizes includes a top prize of $50,000 and merchandise such as music gear. Winning songs also receive radio airplay.

There are 15 different song categories artists can enter that include pop, rock/alt, folk, RnB, hip hop, jazz and instrumental. 

Past winners have gone on to get recording contracts, seen their songs appear on film and TV, as well as getting cuts with major artists. Entries close on May 28.
