For the third Music Spaces, Joel Thomas visits the band practice of Wax Chattels, a three-piece post-punk band based in Auckland.
They describe their sound as “guitarless guitar music”, and spend a lot of time writing and rehearsing in a Karangahape Road studio run by Jonathan Pearce. The room is small and their music is loud.
