Bic Runga Voted APRA NZ Writer Director

Acclaimed songwriter and musician Bic Runga has been voted in as  APRAs latest NZ Writer Director.

Runga has been awarded almost every musical honour in the country, including the APRA Silver Scroll, and has won the most Tui awards by an individual (20). In 2016 she was the recipient of the Legacy Award at the NZ Music Awards and inducted into NZ Music Hall of Fame.

APRA and AMCOS Board directors are elected by their respective memberships through a secure ballot. The process and results of the elections are audited and verified by APRA AMCOS’ independent auditors, KPMG. In the NZ results Bic Runga gained over 70% of votes, beating out Jan Hellriegel and Marshall Smith.
