Thomas Coffey: Take This EP

This lovingly presented three-track EP captures the listener with its slow grooves and emotion-fuelled vocals. Thomas Coffey ’s voice is captivating and uplifting, bringing an elevating awareness of peace and taking the audience deep into his music, as he sways with a natural rhythm.

‘Take This’ is a tranquillizing musical collaboration, the rhythmic and energetic drumming, sweeping piano and smooth cello govern the atmosphere of the music, each adding their own influence and coming together to create a serene, yet up-beat sound.

Twelve musicians make up the accompanying band, creating soothing sounds that compliment Coffey’s moody vocals. The tracks were produced and arranged by Arie Van Der Poel, with mixing assistance from Alan Jansson. Led out by the catchy Rock Jukebox, each of the three songs delivers a melodic and delightful sound of differing tempo and emotion, so that at the end of the last 3-minute track you wish there were more to come.
