Georgia Lines: Human EP

Released July 2022, Georgia Lines‘ five track EP ‘Human’, builds from her eponymous 2020 EP in offering more of the same from this rising star; heartfelt pop music that allows Georgia’s dynamic voice and beautiful melodies to shine.

Sparkling modern production from the likes of Djeisan Suskov from the band Leisure on Save Me, and Joe Faris, aka Ezra Vine, on Faith amongst others, brings a clarity to the EP as a whole, allowing the more delicate songs to sound full and intricate, while keeping the more upbeat numbers interesting and engaging.

An appearance from Alex James, of Alae fame, on the mid-tempo Moon Soda adds texture and depth, with the two artists weaving dreamy harmonies into a poppy duet.

The mellow piano ballad Save Me offers some of the best of Georgia, with just her voice and absolutely minimal instrumentation before it opens up with the addition of strings and then percussion. Nothing But Love and Faith contrast as more pop/dance tracks, injecting an ’80s-’90s energy into the middle part of the EP.

The five well-written songs on this EP reflect differently on the challenges and big emotions of human life – pain, joy, grief – drawn together with shimmering vocals and excellent production.
