The New Existentialists, along with special guests House of 2000 and Shotgun Wedding, play Pearl Diver in Dunedin on September 25, 2026.

The New Existentialists is the west Auckland based outfit of former Dunedin and Flying Nun underground legend George D Henderson (The Puddle, Mink, Burner Phone), and they’re playing Dunedin for the first time since the release of their critically acclaimed ‘Bad Astrology’ album (#27 in Chuck Eddy’s 150 top albums of 2025).
The New Existentialists, best known for the singles and videos The Last Days of the Internet and INVOCATION, describe their sound as a mix of freakbeat, experimental psych and softcore.
Supporting are dance act House of 2000, who have recently released a banging EP ‘Miss Bitchy’, and  r’n’r batshit boyz Shotgun Wedding.
