The 2024 Waiata Māori Music Awards took place on Friday, October 18 in Hastings, celebrating the incredible talent and contributions of Māori artists across various genres of music.
Held at the Toi Toi Hawke’s Bay Arts and Events Centre, the night featured performances from finalist artists including Corrella, Anna Coddington, Jackson Owens and many more. The stand out winners of the night, each receiving two major awards, were Mohi Allen and Mahina Lawrence. Confirming that it’s her winning year, Anna Coddington was judged the Best Māori Female Solo Artist, while Corrella were named Best Māori Group.
