The winners of the 2021 International Songwriting Competition (ISC) have been announced, with three Kiwi artists making it onto the ISC 2021 list.
Christchurch-based children’s music artist Music with Michal, aka Michal Bush, placed second in the Children’s Music category with her song Brave, a co-write with Victoria and Andrew Knopp.
Wellington artists Anabel Jamieson and Jonny Avery of Annie J received an honourable mention in the Folk/Singer-Songwriter category for their song Girl Who Cried Wolf, and Auckland comedian Jeremy Elwood also landed on the honourable mention list under the Comedy/Novelty category for his song Everyone Needs Someone To Hate.
ISC received more than 21,000 entries this year from over 150 countries.
Entries are now open for ISC 2022.
