Four NZ songwriters are among those acknowledged by APRA AMCOS for reaching the milestone of one billion streams online. Ella Yelich-O’Connor, Joel Little, Leroy Clampitt and James Wong were further rewarded for their songs’ achievements and received their own 1 Billion List Award. 

Yelich-O’Connor (Lorde) and Little got an award together for their 2014 Grammy award-winning hit Royals, while Little received his fourth list award for the 2019 Taylor Swift song Me! Clampitt and Wong together received their list award for the 2015 Justin Bieber song Company. 

The 1,000,000,000 List exists to celebrate songwriters across  Australasia who have reached that many streams for a single song. It takes into account streaming numbers from major services including Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, Amazon and more. For more on the list awards click here.
