The producers of Aotearoa’s new music-for-screens Sync-Posium have shared some numeric results from connections made at last year’s event. 

The event helped people who attended build connections, and workshop attendees cumulatively have now earned over $1.2 million from sync licenses, composing and works made for hire. Alongside this, 13 jobs were secured composing original material for TV, films and advertising, and 12 more were secured scoring music for shows and films.

The first Sync-Posium took place at Auckland’s Roundhead Studios in June 2021, bringing international music supervisors in film, gaming, TV and advertising together with musicians, songwriters and composers. The event was organised by music supervisor Karyn Rachtman and music producer Greg Haver.
