Nominations for all award categories of the Pacific Music Awards 2020 are now open.

A dozen categories are for local artists (New Zealand citizens/residents) plus there’s the Best International Pacific Artist Award, which is open to artists from overseas. For the 2020 awards singles, EPs and albums by Pacific artists released for sale during the full 2019 calendar year are eligible to enter. The entry deadline is February 7, 2020.

• Best Pacific Group
• Best Pacific Language
• Best Pacific Gospel Artist
• Best Pacific Hip Hop Artist
• Best Pacific Soul/RnB Artist
• Best Roots/Reggae Artist
• Best Pacific Song
• Best Pacific Music Video
• Best Producer
• Best International Pacific Artist
• Best Pacific Music Album (NZ Music Award Tui)
