In their March 2021 New Music Single funding round, NZ On Air have announced 36 new local songs that will receive up to $10,000 each to invest in making and promoting new singles in the coming months. 

Congratulations to the three dozen songs and artists selected for funding – out of a total of 125 applications across a range of genres. NZ On Air say they were pleased to see so many first time funded artists in this round, with the selection panel noting that the quality of the songs was particularly strong.

The panel were: Harrison Pali [ZM and Mai FM], Felix Carr [Radio Control Manawatu], Charlotte Ryan [RNZ Music], Matthew McAuley [The Spinoff], Leanda Borrett [Audioculture], Maude Morris [Big Pop].

The next New Music Single funding round will open on 25 March with applications closing on April 15.
