Moodagent, a personalised music streaming service with innovative recommendation and discovery features, launched here in NZ on July 21.
Utilising AI technology to personalise the listening experience, the app gives users a new way to discover artists, and artists new ways to reach fans. Where other streaming services offer recommendations based on prior listening, editorial selections or current charts, Moodagent provides intuitive playlist curation, allowing listeners to use moods, songs or artists to start a deeper discovery experience, then finetune with interactivity.
The launch into NZ follows a recent expansion to Australia and is part of Moodagent’s push into Asia Pacific. Founded in Denmark in 2001, the platform currently has offices in Germany, India and Sydney, with the goal of being present in 25+ countries by the end of 2023. Tom Mee who is GM of ANZ was formerly Head of Artist and Label Marketing ANZ at Spotify, with prior stints at Universal Music Australia and Warner Music Australia.
Moodagent is available via mobile from Apple App Store and Google Play. A time-restricted free trial is available when signing up. For more information head to moodagent.com
