Artist applications for showcases at Australia’s biggest music industry conference, BigSound 2019 in Brisbane, have been extended to Thursday, May 16.
You can apply here. (Quickly!)
Now in its 18th year, BigSound 2019 will be held from September 3-6. Running across four days and four nights, you can meet, talk and listen to the brightest lights in the music industry. When the lights go down, your band could be wowing the global industry audience at some of Aussie’s best live music venues in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley.
Alumni include Flume, Gang of Youths, Courtney Barnett, Tash Sultana, Rufus Du Sol and many more, this event is one Australian artists come to be put on the map. Artists showcasing at the conference are also eligible to enter the Levi’s Music Prize which is given out four times annually to further support the career of those who played.
Expanded ‘Hook Up’ sessions will provide opportunities for artists and industry to connect through deeper one-on-one face time. This year will also see the introduction of ‘WTF’ micro-workshops for an accelerated understanding of important but often daunting subjects – such as blockchain or neighbouring rights, as well as a focus on relatable storytellers, thinkers and innovators.
