Auckland Council has established a $50,000 match fund for Tāmaki Makaurau creatives, artists, collectives and arts organisations to launch new projects through Boosted. The ‘Auckland Arts Comeback‘ offers creatives the immediate opportunity to fund their mahi and to learn marketing and crowdfunding skills, while connecting with their community of supporters.
Expressions of Interest are now open for the $2,000 grants that will be given to 25 Tāmaki creatives and arts organisations, as matched funds on their Boosted crowdfunding projects.
‘We believe this is an ‘all-hands-on-deck moment’ – for government, arts organisations, and every day Kiwis to rally around creatives. This collaborative campaign gives Aotearoa the chance to acknowledge how much the arts bring to each of our lives – through music, film, theatre, visual arts and more – and to help Tāmaki creatives get back on their feet.’
Boosted, The Arts Foundation Te Tumu Toi and Auckland Council will work with a review panel to allocate the match funds on a rolling basis between 18 February and 3 March 2022.
If you have a creative project to be delivered in Auckland that you want to get off the ground, that needs a budget of $4,000 or more, then you are eligible to be part of the Auckland Arts Comeback.
Step 1 is to get in touch with Boosted via kiaora@boosted.org.nz to signal your interest.
