There are twelve places available for writers, and four for producers for this April’s SongHubs collaborative song-writing retreat in Auckland – and you can apply for one of those now!

SongHubs brings internationally acclaimed songwriters to Auckland where they collaborate with NZ and Australian writers, artists and producers. 

On offer:

Two fully funded places for internationally based APRA AMCOS members:

Return flights to Auckland from anywhere in the world
Accommodation for seven nights
Per diem of $60 NZD per day for six days.

Two fully funded places for APRA AMCOS members who are resident in New Zealand:

Return flights to Auckland from anywhere in New Zealand
Accommodation for seven nights
Per diem of $60 NZD per day for six days.

Twelve non-funded places for APRA AMCOS members who are resident in New Zealand.

You can apply here. The deadline for submissions is March 7, successful applicants will be advised by March 20.

You are eligible to apply for SongHubs Auckland 2018 if:

  • You are an elected full writer member of APRA
  • You’re able to demonstrate either commercial success or a strong track record of audience and industry support within the past two years
  • You have a manager, record company, music publisher, or distributor supporting your career
  • You have a recording scheduled for release during the 12 months following SongHubs Auckland 2018
  • You have collaborated and/or worked on successful local or international releases
  • You are keen and willing to collaborate with other artists, songwriters and producers
  • You are willing to make yourself available for media relating to SongHubs Auckland 2018, and for your image and biography to be used in association with this and future SongHubs events. 
  • You are available for the duration of SongHubs Auckland 2018 – including the introductory drinks on April 15 and the wrap/listening party on April 21.

This time, curator Greg Haver has invited award-winning American country writers Heather Morgan, Marc Beeson and Kate York to work with local talent on their songs.
