The 2023 APRA Professional Development Award recipients have been announced.

• Byllie-jean (Lessons in piano, production and stage performance)
• Damian Golfinopoulos (Mentorships in pop music, electronica, composition and a research residency)
• Fergus Fry (Research and internships)
• Flo Wilson (Residencies, workshops and camps)
• Vicki Ormond aka Yolanda Fagan (Mentorship, classes)

Each recipient receives $10,000 to contribute towards the next step of their career enhancement. The award is intended to help artists develop their songwriting skills domestically or internationally, where funds have been a hindering factor. An anonymous panel of members of the local music industry selected the recipients from over 140 applications.
