Stef T: Interact EP

In the vein of impressive new talent a la Abigail Knudsen classically trained Christchurch artist Stef T creates heartfelt, soulful vocal downtempo beats. There are four tracks here.

Humanity has Rhodes-styles with a hypnotic vocal. Stef Todd does her own BVs and melodies to great effect. These might be bedroom recordings, but that’ll be one you want to be in!

Her debut release was the ‘Spaces EP’ (also four tracks) in 2014, at which point she had only just got into beat making.

Fionn’s Song (her son) has beautifully organic, scratchy vinyl noise.

For You adopts an intimate, elevating vibe with male harmonies, while Out Tonight has a dance-based video heartfelt homesick vibe.

Throw around those dream pop, ambient and trip hop monikers, but Stef T puts her own stamp on things, with the voice uppermost in the arrangements. Big talent here. You’ve been warned!
