Mauao Landslide Fundraiser, April 26

Mauao Landslide Fundraiser, April 26

The Mount Maunganui music community will come together in a show of unity late April, with a landmark fundraising concert set to raise money for families affected by the tragic Mauao landslide. The event will be hosted by Totara Street live music venue in Mount Maunganui, and run from midday to 11pm on Sunday 26 April, 2026.

Spanning two live stages and a DJ courtyard, the Mauao Landslide Fundraiser event will feature more than 25 local artists and acts. Tiki Taane headlines a bill that includes Darz Music ft Frances Phoenix, The John Michaelz Band, The Gunsmiths, Stella Riley, Sonorous, K Holla, No Reply, Red Street and many more.

Every ticket purchased and donation made goes directly to the Tauranga Mayoral Relief Fund, supporting families of those tragically lost in the landslide. Donations can also be made independently at tauranga.govt.nz

“This is a day about unity, remembrance, and backing the people who need us most. Our community has always shown up when it matters – and this is the Bay of Plenty music scene stepping up,” says Totara Street director Jay Munro. “The response from the local music community has been overwhelming.”

Over 100 artists volunteered to perform, a testament to the depth of feeling surrounding this cause. The event is supervised, with under-18s welcome when accompanied by their parent or legal guardian.

For those preferring a harder sound, a companion Rock and Roll Warm Ups show will be held at Totara Street on Friday 24 April, also raising funds for the Mayoral Relief Fund.
