2021 NZ Music Month Summit Announced

The 2021 NZ Music Month Summit has been announced with a one-day programme of panel discussions and presentations around music industry topics and information. This year’s theme is Access All Aotearoa: Great Local Music For All New Zealanders – In Every Place, For Every Age & In Every Genre this NZ Music Month.

Presented by the MMF Aotearoa and the NZ Music Commission, the Music Month Summit provides useful, practical information for emerging artists and music professionals to grow their careers, featuring speakers such as PollyHill, SickDrumz and many more. With attendance free for registrants, the Summit will be held above the Tuning Fork at Spark Arena, on Saturday, May 29.

Specific topics this year include booking and promoting local tours, funding support from government agencies, working as a producer with people near and far, and an update from SoundCheck Aotearoa.

There will also be a live stream available on the day through the MMF Aotearoa and Music Commission Facebook and YouTube channels, with online moderators taking questions and feeding them through to the live panels.
