Course: New Zealand Diploma in Radio Broadcasting (Level 5)
Duration: One year full time (40 weeks)

Entry criteria: NCEA Level 2 or equivalent/work experience AND evidence of ability based on interview and voice test.
International: IELTS 6.00 (no band lower than 5.5), or equivalent.
This programme is suitable for school leavers aged 16 years.
Emphasis: The NZ Radio Training School (under Te Whare Wānanga o Awanuiārangi) is based in Manukau, Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland).
With industry professional tutors to teach and guide you every step of the way, we offer a NZ Diploma in Radio Broadcasting (Level 5), cover all aspects needed to launch your exciting career in radio.
During the 40 weeks (full-time) you’ll spend with us you will become proficient in the software required for radio production (NexGen and Zetta), skills for announcing on-air, audio and video editing, basic journalism skills, creative writing, sales, promos, and onscreen/presenting to camera.

Qualification gained: NZ Diploma in Radio Broadcasting (Level 5)
Career prospects: Radio announcer, radio producer, podcaster, newsreader, promotions, sales/advertising in radio
Facilities: 4 radio studios on-site for training; 4 production studios; video/green screen facilities; on-air video studio.
