Nominations are now open for the 2021 Folk Tui, or more correctly, Te Kaipuoro Taketake Toa | Best Folk Artist.

Any folk artist with recordings released between October 1, 2019 and September 30, 2020 is eligible to submit. The submission deadline is November 6, with terms and conditions available here, and the relevant forms to fill out here.

2021’s Best Folk Artist will be presented as part of a showcase that includes all finalists on the Sunday evening of the Auckland Folk Festival in January. This years Folk Tui went to Mel Parsons for her album ‘Glass Heart’
