Songconversations.com is the online presence of highly regarded Auckland musicians, academics and fellow artist supporters Kiri Eriwata and Stephen Matthews. With the aid of a Creative NZ grant the Song Conversations team are wanting to form a new collective of songwriters, diverse in culture and background, who write in a range of musical styles. Specifically, they are looking for eight (18+) songwriters based in Aotearoa to be part of Audience Song.

The Audience Song project will provide opportunities within the collective for online collaboration, peer support and creative mentorship, and provide professional online marketing assistance.

Members of the collective will write songs inspired by their audience’s personal stories that speak of overcoming the challenges and adversities of Covid-19 and our changing world. After three weeks of online promotion and audience engagement, Audience Song will end with an online showcase of the eight finished songs.
