NZ on Air has published the results of its first New Music Single funding round.
Out of 120 applications the following 25 will receive support with their next single/music video.
NZOA’s July panel was made up of Radio One’s Erin Broughton, NZM columnist/University of Auckland School of Music lecturer
Godfrey de Grut, Jeff Newton of NZ On Air, journalist Lydia Jenkin, Mikhal Norriss of iHeart Radio, Rockquest/Parachute Music’s Matt Ealand and Ross Flahive of ZM.
Applications for the next New Music Singles funding round will close on September 9 and you can apply here.
The first New Music Project funding round will close on August 12, but potential applicants must email a one-paragraph project overview to NZ On Air at least two weeks before the deadline, and start a discussion about the project with NZOA, before an application will be accepted.
