NZ On Air Music have announced their NewMusic Pasifika funding September 2022 decisions supporting the recording, video, and promotion costs of new singles from Pasifika artists.

In this round 13 out of 77 eligible applications were chosen by a panel consisting of Lui Vilisoni [Pacific Media Network], Tana Tupai [Music Managers Forum], Tuāfale Tanoa’i [Freelance Artist / DJ], Tuva’a Clifton [Broadcaster] and Sylvia Betham [NZ On Air Music].

Five of the 13 are five first-time funded recipients, and five songs feature the use of multiple Pacific Island languages.
