On Saturday October 17 the Massey Music School in Te Whanganui-a-Tara, will present the 2026 Producer Masterclass with three experienced NZ music producers sharing their expertise.

Staged in collaboration with the Music Production Guild Aotearoa, this ticketed afternoon event will include presentations from Toby Lloyd, Tarn PK and Mikeyy, each producer discussing their own approach to sound engineering within their work. The lecture sessions will be followed by personal producer-led workshops with track break-downs and production classes taking place. 

Toby Lloyd is the leading name behind Wellington city’s Tiny Triumph Recordings studio. His work with artists including Shapeshifter, Nightmares On Wax and Ladi6, along with film score and composition mixing has established him as one of Wellington’s most well-respected engineers.

Tarn PK, also Wellington-based, approaches his work in sonic arts as a skilled songwriter and composer. His work with upcoming talent such as First Reserve and Adam Snow illustrates his attention to detail and a valuable understanding of the emerging NZ music scene.

On loan from Tāmaki Makaurau, Mikeyy will bring his expertise of dance music and live track mixing and performance, pushing music production from in-studio computer work to stadium-level human connection. Tickets available here.
