Course: New Zealand Certificate in Music (Level 4)

Duration: One year full-time
Commences: 20 February 2023

Entry criteria: On application and audition. Be able to demonstrate by audition the musical ability to succeed in the programme.

Emphasis: On completion you will have gained knowledge and experience in performance, as well as production, composition and the music industry. You may choose to continue to study with us on the New Zealand Diploma in Music Level 5, or gain employment as a performer, live sound technician/engineer or seek employment in related creative arts industries.

Qualification gained: New Zealand Certificate in Music (Level 4)

Career prospects: Musician, sound technician/engineer, road manager/co-ordinator, festival organiser/assistant.

Facilities: Logic Pro, ProTools, Sibelius and other music software. Full recording facilities, computer suite, performance space and classrooms in attractive campus environment.

Course: Te Kamamama NEW ZEALAND DIPLOMA IN MUSIC (Level 5)

Duration: One year, full time
Commences: 20 February 2023

Entry criteria: On application and audition. Be able to demonstrate by audition the musical ability to succeed on the programme.

Emphasis: New Zealand Diploma in Music (Level 5) develops graduates with comprehensive knowledge, skills, and capability in applied professional music performance, song writing, musical arrangement and music production including the use of technology, communication and instrumentation. Graduates will be able to function either individually or in groups in much the same manner as a professional artist or band would work within the music industry, and may also pursue further higher-level study in music performance, music production, sound engineering or related fields.

Qualification gained: New Zealand Diploma in Music (Level 5)

Career prospects: Music artist, musician, writer, composer, artist manager, recording engineer.

Facilities: Rehearsal rooms, recording studio, live sound equipment, instruments.
